Young Professionals Meet to Discuss Growing LAX’s Small Business Charm

Philo is eager to attend the Young Professionals of the Coulee Region to discuss aspects of our city that make it unique for consumers and local citizens. See below for information regarding the event. We hope to see you there, in the meantime, #StayPensive.

Event Description: Growing Our Small Business Charm

The Young Professional visioning session identified the small business culture in the greater La Crosse areas as something important to keeping young professionals in the area. Come hear from people developing entrepreneurs, supporting small businesses, and making our public areas vibrant on what more is coming and what else can be done. Share your thoughts on what more could be done and what you’d like to see.

12:10-12:20 Lewis Kuhlman, associate planner of community development with the City of La Crosse on efforts to add art to downtown La Crosse’s vibrancy

12:20-12:30 Robin Moses, executive director of Downtown Mainstreet Inc (DMI), on efforts to startup, attract and keep businesses downtown.

12:30-12:40 Nick Roush, president of North La Crosse Business Association (volunteer) and owner, Root Down Yoga Studio and Roush Rentals, on Uptowne, an effort to make the Caledonia Street on La Crosse’s north side the next business hub.

Your questions, observations or the question to the speakers, “What more can be done?”
